Darwinism and Consequentialism

Jon Schaff at South Dakota Politics features a brief but interesting examination of Darwinism and its relation to modern liberalism.

I would add that Darwinism is also at or near the root of Marxist thinking in the 20th Century; both philosophies are Godless and view humans as nothing more than a glorified animal.

I had never come across the term "consequentialism" mentioned by Schaff but found it interesting and accurate. I believe consequentialism is how the dominant segment of our culture operates. It also appears to be a close cousin to the situational ethics/moral relativism embraced by pop culture.
