Dry Spells Not New

Some are trying to blame the drought we've had in South Dakota in recent years on the myth of anthropogenic global warming.

A couple of stories yesterday throw water on that drought connection.

One from the New Scientist says a dry spell had something to do with the demise of the Neanderthals.

Another from the Arizona Daily Star says a 60-year-long drought hit the Colorado River area in the 12th Century.

But we can get more mileage out of Marxist, anti-business goals when we blame anthropogenic global warming than accepting the scientific evidence which indicates natural climate cycles and/or solar activity.
