Whether convicted murderers are rendered unconscious prior to death is unimportant to me (an MD). I have yet to see a report of how these animals took their victims suffering into account when they decided to kill. Personally, I am in favor of hanging. It is quick and certain and gives the murderer an extra split-second to contemplate their crime before they feel the first tension on the rope.
