I received the thank-you card below from Senator John Thune's office today. It was a nice gesture, especially since, as I told Senator Thune's Staff Assistant Dakota Bixler, it was I who was thankful to her and Senator Thune for arranging the tour of the White House for us.
In addition to being able to see the inside of the White House during my trip to Washington D.C. back in October, my friends Dale Bartscher (South Dakota Family Policy Council) and Dennis Schmidt (Dist. 33 State Senator) and I had the unexpected pleasure of seeing the Bush's leave the White House on Marine One from the White House lawn.
Thanks, Dakota and Senator Thune, for a very memorable visit!!!
