The Conspiracy to Conspire
It doesn't make sense! Little of it does! Yet, some continue in the quest to blame, even if the focus is on the results or the surface events and appearances only. Few seem to be seeking the "core" of it all -- the source -- the answers as to why and who and how, though that is where the solution rests, or at least begins. Now that I have explained in political jargon, I'll speak English. Some have gone so far as to say that President Bush lied about the WMD's and the threat that Iraq posed to get support for going to war. On the surface, that sounds as good as any accusation to excuse away why others supported the war that they now want a way out of. They supported it at the hands of deceit, they claim. But then there is the realistic questions to be asked, because there is no sense in this line of thinking. Anyone in the White House would have to know that ending up "not finding any WMD's" would make President Bush, his staff and our military look foolish and bungling. So what would the point be in that? What would be the benefit? On the other hand... Who would gain by us looking foolish and incompetent? Who might have done the duping, how did they carry it out, and what are they after? One theory could be that a foreign power (or wannabe power) wanted to get rid of Sadam and the US. What better way than to pit the two against each other, while pretending to be friend to both? Perhaps the WMD's were actually there and that is what was reported to US authorities. Then, maybe this same friend/foe helped to make sure the weapons were removed before the US could get to them. In this way, Sadam no longer had them, and the US looked as though they had no clue as to what they were talking about and had wrongly invaded Iraq. Zap! Got both in one con job! Maybe it was even as simple as reporting Sadam's bragging, while knowing that he really didn't have the weapons any longer but also knowing that he would keep on pretending because he was use to his bullying-ways working. Same results and little effort needed to pull it off. No matter ... It definitely feels as though we were set up! It feels as though our system of government, our freedoms and rights are being utilized to destroy us, and we are blindly walking right into the plan to do so. We have those who are demanding that we pull out of Iraq on a time table. Where is the alleged logic in giving the opposition information needed to defeat us in our efforts? It's like telling bank robbers when law enforcement and security won't be around to prevent them from robbing the bank. Why not announce that information on television as well? It would make as much sense. Nancy Pelosi going over and making like our other president, played right into the hands of those who are seeking to destroy us. What fools we must seem. What fools some of us are. While the world looks on, we have those who are presenting themselves (on national television) as self-absorbed, spoiled brats that can't see beyond their own wants and way of thinking. Those who dare suggest that we should have empathy for terrorist that have no hesitation to kill innocents, while then insulting our troops and challenging their intelligence and integrity. Our troops do not at least deserve equal empathy and that would be why? It looks as though we are being played against each other! How must the ones behind it be laughing and truly enjoying it all. Without a shot fired -- they are bringing us down. They learned well and fast that a 9-11 will only serve to unite us, while the other methods will set us to chipping away at ourselves as they could never do in their wildest dreams. No doubt we were studied far more thoroughly than Nancy Pelosi and the others studied those who are our threat or possible threat. But then, we are use to the idea that if we make a mistake, the next election will be a chance to correct it. We haven't been able to yet grasp the concept that if we sell ourselves out, there might not be a next election, much less a chance to correct anything. Instead, we might find ourselves in a fight for life that we never supposed could touch our shores. Surprise! New world -- new rules! Maybe it is time to realize that liberalism is not accepted in many countries that breed terrorists, unless it is being utilized to their benefit against us. Maybe it is time to think about long term "consequences" rather than immediate gratification. Maybe it is time that we find out who fed our government officials bogus information and why, rather than carelessly blaming those who were duped and stopping there. This isn't an issue to use as ammunition against our political opposites, because that is playing right into the hands of our enemies. In this, we must work together to get to the truth and to protect ourselves from those who stand to benefit from our destruction. The fighting on the playground needs to stop, before we have no playground to fight on because it was stolen from us. Stolen from us by manipulators that were successful in keeping our attention on everything but what we should have been focusing on. That isn't a far fetched thought. Someone did lie to our top officials for some reason. I doubt if it was just for the fun of it.
