Quoting the now
defunct political action committee's website, whether it be Derek
Newton or Michael Schiavo that actually posted...
"I say TerriPAC "was"
because I've decided to close TerriPAC."
Whomever is writing
the material is making it sound as though it is merely time to move
on and to do other things. The only hint there might be a "slight"
problem is with comments like, "Traveling around the country, making
political donations and keeping up with the required legal paperwork
takes funds."
Just how much
traveling did Michael Schiavo do and how much did it cost when he
did travel?
How many political
donations did TerriPAC actually make and how much did that add up
to?
How much does it cost
to have the income (donations) compiled vs expenditures, and report
this as required by the Federal Election Commission (FEC)?
Why were these
reports late and questionable, as apparently they were according to
the FEC itself? The FEC that had nothing to do with the Schiavo case
prior to Michael filing to have a Political Action Committee in the
first place. The FEC oversees the conduct and filings of the
Political Action Committees (PAC) themselves, and political action
committees must abide by the rules and regulations governing the
same. That includes Michael Schiavo and his PAC.
It all might sound
quite dull and as if someone just didn't get around to filing in
time, until you start reading some of the information from North
Country Gazette and some of the reports and records gathered by
same.
In an exclusive, "FEC
Records Lend Proof Schiavo TerriPAC Filings False", The North
Country Gazette is apparently detailing the income and
expenditures of the TerriPAC, as well as status of reports, FEC
responses and so much more that it has apparently gathered from
official sources. These sources suggest that maybe Michael isn't
just moving on simply by his own choice. Maybe he had a little nudge
or two? One or more that might suggest that the FEC isn't simply
another Judge George Greer that will allow him to avoid his
reporting duties?
It's really amazing,
if one thinks about it...
Money was awarded for
Terri Schiavo's care and ended up mostly used to pay attorney George
Felos et al to kill her off, leaving none for Michael!
Then, there is
TerriPAC and the money donated was mostly (according to records)
used to pay off Newton, and again Michael had none!
Is this poetic
justice as TerriPAC closes up shop?
One can only wonder
until we know!
