Fall LifeLight Tour Hits 10 Cities
in and Around South Dakota
SIOUX FALLS,
S.D. (October 1, 2007) – On October 10, the ten-city fall LifeLight
Tour with Stellar Kart, Remedy Drive and The Switch gets under way
in Mobridge, S.D. Sponsored by Food for the Hungry, the tour will
stop in nine more cities across five states before ending October
21. Tickets and a complete tour schedule are available at
http://www.lifelight.org/tours.
Mobridge also
happens to be the home town of Stellar Kart lead vocalist, Adam
Agee. Who is Stellar Kart? Is there such a thing as a 'power pop
punk rock' band? Could you even describe it if there were? Here's a
plan - forget the labels. Stellar Kart already has. Instead of
trying to fit into some preconceived notion of what they are
supposed to sound like, Stellar Kart has spent the last year and a
half defining, refining, smelting, hacking, merging, polishing, and
crafting the twelve songs that comprise their highly anticipated
sophomore release, We Can't Stand Sitting Down. A quick listen will
convince even the most lead-eared among us that what you are hearing
isn't punk rock music, or power punk music, or pop rock music, or
whatever other label you might want to hang on it. It's just great
music, performed by one of the hardest working bands in Christian
music.
Joining
Stellar Kart on the tour is Remedy Drive, an independent rock band
from Lincoln, Neb. The band has been touring nationally playing
around 200 shows a year for the past three years. Remedy Drive is
currently on tour in support of their most recent album 'Rip Open
The Skies'. This new project, recorded in Nashville with producer
Jim Cooper, focuses the energy and momentum of a band most known for
the harmonies and intensity in their piano driven rock tunes.
The tour also
includes The Switch. With one of the most energetic and entertaining
live shows this side of the equator, The Switch will most definitely
leave you gasping for air! Hailing from a small suburb of
Pittsburgh, Penn., this POWER POP experience has rocked the hearts
of thousands in its five year existence. Emerging with a unique
style that has been “kid tested and mother approved”, yet still
speaking the universal language of rock, they have broken
stereotypical barriers with 3-part harmony and driving compositions.
Their “audience friendly”, animated performance always leaves the
audience begging for more!
