Annual Soup Supper at Rapid City Christian High School
by Greg L Johnson

Rapid City Christian High School (RCCHS) will host its 14th Annual Soup Supper on Monday, November 7 from 5-7 p.m.

Homemade chicken soup, chili, and homemade pie will be served. School families provide all of the food for the annual Soup Supper fundraiser. Donations help provide additional educational resources for the teachers in the classrooms.

An average of $2,000 has been raised in the past years. Items purchased with donations have included current events magazine subscriptions for social sciences, needed software, and sheet music for the highly rated Concert Chorus and the Comet Pep Band. The athletics department has also received help with sports equipment.

This annual event began as not only a way to raise money for teachers’ additional educating needs, but also as a means for school families to fellowship with each other. Everyone is welcome, whether a part of the school family or just interested in a good meal and becoming acquainted!

This event is open to the public and held at RCCHS, located at the Bible Fellowship Church campus at 1212 E. Fairmont in Rapid City. Donations will be taken at the door. For more information on this event, please call Cindy Dusing at 574-4229.

Established in 1981, RCCHS is an independent coed school focusing on a sound liberal arts training, and a nurturing to a commitment to Jesus Christ in the lives of the students, grades 7 to 12. You can find out more about RCCHS by visiting their web site at http://rcchristian.org or by calling the school at 605-341-3377.
