Audio Educator Hosts Community Workshop
Learn the Art of Making Professional Music CDs

DETROIT, Nov. 7 /Christian Wire Service/ -- Audio Educator presents a community workshop to teach the art of digital studio recording to budding engineers, producers and musicians on November 12th at Harmonie Park Recording Studios.

"The music industry has been revolutionized by the affordability of studio quality digital recording equipment. People are buying the equipment, but they don't know how to use it. We want to teach the average person how he or she can learn digital recording and use the equipment and programs they purchase such as: Pro Tools, Sonar, and Cubase," said Carl Robinson, President of Audio Educator.

"It's exciting to be able to record, mix, and master your own CD, but many people lack the skills to produce a professional sounding product," Robinson said. Robinson has engineered on several Grammy Award winning or nominated projects for R. Kelly, Mary J. Blige, Oleta Adams, Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker and a host of others. Robinson was also lead guitarist for the Grammy Award Winning group, The Winans.

Audio Educator will offer a series of 10 workshops designed to teach the art of studio recording and mixing. Mixing is the art of blending together the sounds and performances recorded on separate tracks into one cohesive and exciting whole.

Workshop 1, "Mixing to the Max," will be held on Saturday, November 12th, at Harmonie Park Recording Studio located at 1407 Randolph, Suite 200, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and will teach the specific skills necessary for a quality CD.

The workshop is open to students ages 16 and up. The fee for Workshop 1 is $69.00 before November 12th, and $89.00 at the door. Workshop 2 will be held Saturday, December 3. Topics will be announced.
