Troops Overseas to Pray with their Families Will connect through online prayer site WASHINGTON, Nov. 21 /ChristianWireService/ -- On Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 1:00 PM, Pray Live, a world wide prayer group, will join military personal at the National World War II Memorial on 17th Street in Washington, D.C., to announce a live prayer call between US troops and their families and supporters on Thanksgiving Day. This history making event will link the troops and other Americans via interactive live prayer. Traditionally, Thanksgiving is a time when families gather around a dining room table to give thanks and to share each other's company over dinner. Our troops who are serving in Iraq will not be with their families in the traditional sense this Thanksgiving. However, while they will be thousands of miles away this Thanksgiving they will be able to connect with family, friends, and supporters via prayer. Pray Live, www.praylive.com is a non-denominational not for profit organization. Through pray live anyone can pray twenty four hours a day, seven days a week for live prayer. The organization is excited about offering this service for troops can join their family, friends, and supporters in prayer thereby making our troops feel closer to home and spiritually fed. "If there was ever a time to gather around our troops and their families and support them with prayer, it's now," says Pray Live founder/creator Wenda Royster. "Our troops are fighting a war in Iraq, and they need our support. It is our hope that hearing their families pray for and with them on Pray Live will take away some of the sting of being so far away from home this Thanksgiving."
