(4.3 kg) -- a special Christmas gift the entire family thanks God for. David is the 9th boy in the Chernenko family and the sixth child in the family born in the United States. More than six years ago, the Chernenko family emigrated from Ukraine after enduring religious persecution. Now living in Sacramento, the Chernenkos attend Bethany Slavic Missionary Church, the largest Russian-speaking church in USA. Vladimir and Zynaida Chernenko were married 24 years ago when both were 18 years old. One year later, their first child was born and the legacy of this amazing family began.
