Women's Group Confident South Dakotans Will Support Abortion Ban CWA of South Dakota believes South Dakotans will uphold ban in a potential referendum New Holland, SD – “Concerned Women for America (CWA) of South Dakota expresses confidence that the truth that abortion hurts women and kills unborn children will prevail in the proposed state referendum. CWA is a women’s group that supports HB1215, the Women’s Health and Human Life Protection Act. CWA of South Dakota is deeply committed to the sanctity of life from conception to natural death,” said Linda Schauer, state director for CWA of South Dakota. “The citizens of South Dakota elect their state representatives to bring their voice to Pierre on legislative matters. The state legislature has spoken with a bi-partisan vote to protect the health of women and the lives of unborn babies with their support for the abortion ban,” continued Mrs. Schauer. “However, knowing that South Dakota is a pro-life state, we are prepared to further educate voters and insure that they cast their pro-life vote in November. Pro-abortion advocates and some politicians claim that the measure is ‘extreme’ since there is no exemption for rape and incest. CWA believes that the killing of an unborn child is extreme no matter how the child was conceived. Every life is precious.” “Some women’s groups loudly seek so-called ‘reproductive health’ which are code words for abortion. Ironically, abortion halts reproduction and it is certainly not healthy for the baby.” CWA of South Dakota welcomes a court challenge. It is time to take a stand against judicial tyranny by overturning a heinous decision that violates states’ rights and has killed over 45 million unborn children. Abortion laws are based on one of the greatest suppressions of truth in Supreme Court history. More and more women are beginning to share their tragic experience of abortion. While in a vulnerable condition, many were coerced, not fully informed, and lied to in order to submit to terminating the life of their child. Now they relate how they are suffering physically and emotionally as they mourn the death of their child. Concerned Women for America is the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization.
