Family Institute of Connecticut to Hold 'Rally For Religious Freedom'
Wednesday at State Capitol

HARTFORD, Conn., March 20 -- On Wednesday, March 22 at 10:00 a.m. on the steps of the state capitol in Hartford, the Family Institute of Connecticut will hold a Rally for Religious Freedom and Lobby Day to respond to the growing threats to religious liberty in the state of Connecticut.

FIC executive director Brian S. Brown stated, "In the last month alone the attacks on religious freedom in Connecticut have increased at an alarming rate: a complaint of bias filed against St. Mary's Hospital simply because it will not recognize same-sex unions, a bill at our legislature that would force religious hospitals to provide chemical abortions and Lt. Gov. Kevin Sullivan's call for the resignation of the state's Victim Advocate for committing the 'thought crimes' of being a faithful Christian who will not kowtow to the pro-abortion and pro same-sex 'marriage' agendas.

"These anti-religious attacks on our freedom are not aimed at any one denomination, but at every person of faith who believes in traditional morality. On Wednesday, FIC's multicultural and inter-religious coalition will rally for religious freedom at the state capitol and lobby our legislators to put a stop to these constant assaults on our most basic liberties."
