World Premiere
of Apocalypse TV Special to Air on i Network During 'Sweeps' Week
LOVELAND, Colo., May 22 /Christian Newswire/ -- Are current events really evidence for the impending end of human existence? Do highly destructive weather patterns, devastating earthquakes, emerging new diseases and man-made disasters foretell a pending apocalypse? Are the predictions throughout human history of the coming end of the world fact or fiction? Grizzly Adams® Productions (GAP), has announced that its new TV special Apocalypse and the End Times, hosted by Michael Flynn, will answer these questions in its World Premiere broadcast on the i Network (formerly PAX-TV) during the May-June Sweeps. The World Premiere broadcast will occur on Saturday, June 3, at 8 PM EST / 6 PM PST with an Encore broadcast on Friday, June 23, at 10 PM EST / 8 PM PST. The show airs at 7 PM and 9 PM respectively in Central and Mountain Time Zones. The TV special is based in part on Michael D. Evans’ best-seller, The American Prophecies: Ancient Scriptures Reveal Our Nation’s Future (Warner Faith), and two best-selling books by Dr. Patrick Heron, Apocalypse Soon, and The Nephilim and the Pyramid of the Apocalypse (Xulon Press). In addition to authors Heron and Evans, 17 scientists and scholars are interviewed in the TV program. Events that have some people wondering about the end times include a record-setting hurricane season last year, and a 500 percent increase in tornadoes over the normal U.S. average so far during 2006. Predictions of global warming, the threat of a worldwide bird flu pandemic, increase in earthquakes over the past decade, and other world events have many fearing for the survival of mankind. “Our research team is attempting to present a balanced view, and answer the question: Is there anything that can be authenticated with all these End Times warnings or are they just myths?,” explains Chuck Sellier, supervising producer of Apocalypse.” “There is a clear link between ancient prophecies of the apocalypse, the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Nephilim, or fallen angels, in the book of Genesis,” says author Patrick Heron. “Some of these predictions clearly tie into current events, foreshadowing the end of our world.” The Grizzly Adams TV special examines current events, including war, terrorism, famine, earthquakes, tsunamis, disease and genocide, along with unusual weather patterns, to compare scientific findings with stories and legends about the end of the world from cultures throughout history. “Throughout human history, cultures from the Hopi Indians to biblical prophets have shared stories about the end of the world,” notes David W. Balsiger, senior producer of the Apocalypse special. “We sought to examine these legends and look to modern scientific findings to get to the truth behind current events and these ancient stories.” A show DVD will be available to the public later in 2006.
